The Shift Weekend, 3-5 July 2026
Bookings close June 5th
Since Shift began gathering in 2012, our wider community has experienced great joys and deep challenges. We’ve celebrated successes, hit plenty of rock bottoms, walked through pain, and grown in knowing the love of the Father. More than a few of us now walk with a bit of a limp. Some friends have died, some have stepped away, and others have drifted—but each is still, in some way, part of the Shift story.
Many of us are now in our 30s, learning how to follow Jesus as responsibilities grow and time feels more squeezed. Yet it feels more important than ever to take time to retreat, reflect, and put courage into one another as we step into the next chapter.
We long to seek fresh encounters with Jesus’ presence, to remind one another of God’s faithfulness, and to keep asking the Spirit how we can partner with him in every sphere of our lives.
So what is it?
We gather on a beautiful working farm in Gloucestershire for the Shift Weekend — an intimate retreat where a group of us (mostly in our 30s) from across the country, and a few from further afield, come together to rest, reflect, and be inspired to pursue Jesus with everything we have. Some of us have known each other for years, others are newer, but all of us come to seek Jesus together as part of the family of God.
Across the weekend we keep a fairly relaxed rhythm, with key moments including worship, Bible teaching, prayer, good food shared together, live music, games, and intentional time to spend together encouraging one another.
Together we’re asking what it might look like for us, our friends, and our communities to be captivated by God and to seek renewal in the places we live and work for the long haul.
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, we’d love you to join us.
To give us enough time to organise catering, kids’ activities, and the other practical details, the sign-up deadline is 5th June 2026.

FAQs
-
Over the last few years we’ve offered a range of ticket prices to help make the weekend accessible to as many people as possible.
It costs around £180 per person to run the weekend, so this is our Standard ticket price.
We also offer a Bursary ticket (£100) and a Donation ticket (£230) to cover the cost. Please choose whichever option feels most affordable for you.
-
You can. That said, we’ve found people tend to get more from the experience when they’re able to be there for the whole weekend, so if you can stay for the full time we’d really encourage it.
Saturday day tickets are £80.

Camping with your own kit is still welcome at no extra cost.
If you’d like to glamp though, we’ve connected with a supplier who has set up a booking page <HERE>.
They’ll have access to the farm from Friday afternoon, so your tent will be ready when the site opens at 4PM, and they’ll take it down on the Sunday afternoon. Pretty dreamy!
Costs are around £165 for an unfurnished tent and £200 for a furnished tent for 4 but there's a whole range of options to choose from.
Please note glamping costs are separate from your Shift weekend ticket, and bookings are made directly with the supplier, who will also be your contact for any questions.
Other glamping options are available too—if you prefer, you’re welcome to organise your own setup that works best for you.

No.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re exploring faith, new to it or have had faith in the past.
The weekend programme does include prayer, worship and biblical teaching, but none of it is compulsory - you can join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
-
Yes! We’ve had a growing number of '“Mini-Shifters” over the last few years.
To give an idea, last year we had 20 children, mostly aged 0-6, with a handful slightly older.
All our children’s leaders are DBS-checked and referenced.
Both morning sessions begin with some family worship in the main barn. A crèche and kids’ programme are then offered during both morning sessions and the Saturday afternoon session. There will also be a small area in the main session for pre-crawlers and their parents for those who prefer to keep their babies with them.
The crèche and kids’ space will also be available throughout the day for parents who want somewhere relaxed to spend time with their children. There are toys, an enclosed play area, and sofas for parents and breastfeeding mothers. In previous years this has been a lovely space for parents and children to connect during the weekend.
Meals for children will be served in this area at approximately:
Friday: 5pm
Saturday: 12pm and 5pm
Sunday: 12pm
Kids’ tickets are free. If you’re able, we suggest a donation of £15 per child over 2 to help cover the cost of food, which can be added on the sign-up form. We don’t want cost to prevent any families from attending.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions about bringing children to Shift!
-
Of course!
We try to create plenty of opportunities throughout the weekend for you to connect with others, whether that’s in pre-organised groups or during afternoon activities.
You can also opt to join our WhatsApp group by adding your number in the sign-up form. It’s a great way to connect with people before the weekend. We even have a group where you can find someone to share a lift with if you don’t have transport.
Joining a volunteer team is another great way to get to know people and feel a part of the weekend. Should you be interested you can let us know in the registration form and we’ll be in touch with more details.

Yes!
There will be comfy sofas and a baby changing area within the 0-2s venue.
Parents are welcome to breastfeed where they feel most comfortable.
-
We’ll send out a detailed packing list by email closer to the weekend so you have everything you need.
-
Shift is an alcohol-free space, so we ask that you don’t bring alcohol with you. In the evenings we’ll have a selection of alcohol-free drinks available as part of your ticket.
-
There will.
We’ll be capturing the highlights of the weekend on photo and video.
If you’d prefer not to be in any photos or recordings, don’t worry! You can pick up a wristband at registration, which lets our media team know you’d like to stay off camera.
-
As we’ll be on a working farm, we ask that you please refrain from smoking or vaping while on site.
