Steve Morris

steve is our bible teacher for the weekend and we are excited to be welcoming him and his wife diana back with us.

Steve and his wife Diana and their two kids, Caleb and Isabella, moved out to South Africa in 2015 after a call from God to give away everything they had and move to Cape Town to serve on a township. With friends they built the SOZO Foundation, an education centre training and transforming lives. Steve spoke at both our Shift Weekend and New Years Eve events before leaving for South Africa. We are excited to be welcoming them back to be with us again this year!

Dr Dato Kim Tan

We are excited to be welcoming DR DATO KIM TAN TO OUR WEEKEND, SHARING HIS HEART AND LESSONS ON IMPACTING CULTURE.

Dr. Dato Kim Tan: Kim is a successful biotech entrepreneur and one of the worlds leading social impact investors and pioneers. Inspired by his faith and Jubilee principles, he has gone on to do some remarkable things across the globe.

Kim is the inventor of sheep monoclonal antibodies which are now widely used in blood tests for diseases. He developed the first rapid tests for detecting salmonella used by the poultry industry. He managed Malaysia’s first biotech venture-capital fund,  helping to lay the foundation for the biotech industry in the country. He was the founder chairman of the NCI Cancer Hospital in Malaysia. He is the founder of the Kuzuko Game Reserve in South Africa, a 40,000-acre conservation and social transformation project set up to stimulate economic activities in an area of high unemployment. He is co-founder of the Transformational Business Network (TBN), which drives change by supporting projects that create jobs, empower the poor and transform communities. These are just a few of the many things that Kim has set up.

He co-authored the book Fighting Poverty through Enterprise: The Case for Social Venture Capital with Lord Brian Griffiths, the Vice-Chairman of Goldman Sachs. He is a former director of Saracens Rugby Club, and he is a Council Member of Surrey University.
